lyrics
i was sitting by the flower plant
and somebody called to me
somewhere there’s a place where i roam
she was looking at the caravan
in hopes of warm company
covered up in the place that i go
it almost happens daily
though we’ll believe in good
comes with all the joy of making friendly moves
and when she understands
i hope he always can
while we’re looking for the soft escape
a common recourse for peace
guarding everything where we’re from
there’s a part where she was holdin thin
but someone kept on to me
all the days in moments of fun
when somebody’s lonely
our heart knows
to hold things
in all that, we’ll stay with someone
I picked Brown Study purely for the Jens Lekman vibes. However, this entire album just gets more comfortable with every listen. This might be a niche take, but to me it's as if singer/songwriter Jens Lekman turned his hand to dream pop and trip hop while taking the rhythmic vibes of Cigarettes After Sex and dialing them up to "waking up in the morning after sex" tempo. It's a sonic trip is all I can say. riotgrrrl_meg
Love this album so much!! Found it in 2021 and have been listening to it since. I missed the first pressing of the cassettes but now I have the second pressing coming in the mail! Great album -Thanks Shimmertraps! adam_yume
An easy-to-love combination of emo and jangle pop, the first full album from Spirit Night in eight years feels bathed in a golden glow. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 8, 2023
The members of Big Slice rubbed shoulders with Britpop legends like Suede & Echobelly—no surprise when you hear their radiant, hooky songs. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 17, 2022
